I’ll admit it. I’ve never been a fan of Amy Smart‘s Alison. I thought she was trouble – and not the good kind (like Wendy – I just love her) – from the beginning. And just like Raylan, I did not see the end of their “relationship” coming. But I’m not upset about it at all. I’m not naive enough to think Raylan’s going to take a (brief) break from women, but maybe he needs to take a pause. I think part of my issue with Raylan’s love life is that I have yet to like any of his choices. They’re all wrong and that’s got a lot to do with the way he was raised. But one day I’d love to see him with a good woman who makes him a better man. For now, I’m not holding my breath.

Wendy is Kendal’s Mom

I did not see that coming, but I did love how Kendal dropped that truth bomb on Jack. That poor kid has a really bad cocktail of genes. I’m surprised he’s not more messed up, in fact. But I loved seeing Wendy and Raylan work together, even though she kept stringing him along and had no real information to give Raylan on what the Crowes were up to in Mexico. I was surprised and pleased when Raylan handed over his winnings. I just hope Kendal saves it and uses it to get the hell away from his family when he comes of age.

It Was The Crowes Plan All Along

We know Danny purposely shot Johnny/Hot Rod’s men, but it wasn’t clear why – until now. Darryl had a very elaborate plan to get the drugs out of Mexico and to have Boyd be indebted to him and his family. The only problem? Jimmy speaks Spanish and overhears Darryl’s connection talking. I can’t wait to see how Boyd deals with this betrayal. As I’ve said before, I am so ready for those Crowes to be dealt with. (I was going to try to say something poetic about clipping their wings, but I don’t want them disabled. I might want some of them dead.)

Random Thoughts

I like where Ava’s storyline is going. I think she’s so smart to be cautious about Judith. Now Boyd just has to come through for her, and I’m sure he will.

Is there ever a situation Boyd Crowder isn’t prepared for? I love that they got one over on the Mexican Federales. I hope Boyd’s luck and ingenuity never run out. He makes for such an interesting and complex anti-hero.

I’m a little worried about Raylan being on “vacation.” Is he actually going to Florida to see Winona and the baby? I’m doubtful. With the Art stuff and now this, it seems like he’s spiraling a bit. I’m hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. But quite frankly, the worst would make for great TV. So maybe I am hoping for the worst.
