Happy 250th NCIS!

I admittedly haven’t been as invested in this current season of NCIS for real life and reel life purposes. But I am so here for tonight’s 250th episode which features the return of Daddy DiNozzo. If you recall, we first met Senior a hundred episodes ago in what turned out to be an instant classic called “Flesh and Blood.” Michael Weatherly + Robert Wagner = crackling good father/son chemistry. I may not agree with the way father treats his son, but these two actors always make for great TV.

Synopsis for “Dressed to Kill”: When DiNozzo confronts a man impersonating a Navy officer, guns are drawn and the perpetrator is left dead. The subsequent investigation uncovers that the only eyewitness is DiNozzo’s father, who is in town to disclose a secret to his son, on the 250th episode of NCIS.

With Wagner’s return, I’m looking forward to what I hope is the inevitable Senior and Gibbs awkward conversation. The more awkward the better I say. And I also hope that Daddy DiNozzo is able to help his son out of this little predicament he’s gotten himself into — not make it worse for him. It’s about time Tony’s dad is there for him. We’ve always seen things the other way around. I don’t know what to think about this so-called secret (if you read spoilers you know what it involves) so I’m going to reserve judgment until I see everything play out.

Wow, I feel like we just celebrated the show’s 200th episode (“Life Before His Eyes”). Hmmm…will NCIS still be around to celebrate its 300th? Probably. NCIS fans — what are your all-time favorite episodes and why? What are your favorite Senior/Junior moments?

NCIS “Dressed to Kill” airs tonight at 8/7c on CBS. Below is a promo, a couple sneak peeks, a 250th episode celebration video and some more photos.
