Lost Girl “In Memoriam”

The opening of Lost Girl‘s season four did not disappoint with Kenzi hiding underneath the bottom of a moving vehicle and pretending she is Fae. Although I am little concerned that she is running around in those huge stiletto heels when she is supposed to be going undetected.

Dyson and Hale are on the trail of the baddie which was slightly confusing as at the end of season three, Hale was the Ash. There seems to be a whole chunk of the story missing and this first episode seemed a little disjointed to me. Kenzi and Dyson seem to be more than friends which almost came to fruition but I’m glad they have decided to remain friends. I agree with Kenzi. You just know when you’re in love and I don’t think her and Dyson were meant to be more than friends.

Aife is looking for her daughter (Bo) but no one appears to know who she is! Although they all have moments of fleeting memories or déjà vu. I don’t think Bo’s vanishing act will be solved any time soon and this will give Kenzi time to step up and find her place although she seems lost and sad without her best friend and girl soulmate.

Dyson obviously survived the crash at the end of season three but Tamsin is missing in action. I like that he goes back there every day to try and find her or remember what happened. The search is even more desperate now they realize she was the last person to see Bo. Lauren is nowhere to be found either, although, the only person who seems to be worried is Kenzi.

I wasn’t exactly sure of the storyline until about halfway through when I realized (and they did too) that they had had their memories erased which probably explained the whole vagueness of what was going on and why no one seemed particularly bothered about Bo.

Kenzi’s dress and hair was awesome and I particularly enjoyed the dance scene with her, Hale and Dyson. They almost seemed to be fighting over her through the medium of dance to get the attention of the baddie, who was none other than George Takei [Star Trek franchise] making a guest appearance.

I’m glad to see that Vex hasn’t changed but not sure about his party shoes or his cod piece! He seems to have disposed of Ebony and has appointed himself the new Morrigan but I’m sure that won’t last for too much longer now they all have their memories back and Dyson sniffed her out behind the portrait.

Mondays suddenly have become a whole lot more bearable and can’t wait for more faetastic story lines for Kenzi while Bo is out of the picture.

Lost Girl airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Syfy.
