Amnesia’s been everywhere this fall, along with doppelgangers, and neither is my favorite plot device, but the latter has reared its ugly head on Nikita. With only four episodes left, EVER, last week’s closing moments floated the idea that Birkhoff might not be Birkhoff after all. If so, shudder and BOOOO!
While it’ll certainly let Aaron Stanford go all out, it’s a particularly squicky development for Sonya, and emotionally, it’s only going to escalate Nikita’s drive to kill Amanda…so maybe we win after all? I remain neutral til we see it play out. I’m also not nuts that Alex is in harm’s way again.
Here’s what The CW promises in tonight’s new episode, “Set-Up,” guest starring Judd Nelson: Tensions continue to escalate between the United States and Pakistan after Amanda plants evidence that Pakistan hired Nikita to kill the President. Ryan becomes suspicious of Birkhoff’s increasingly odd behavior and tells Nikita and Michael that he thinks Amanda may have kidnapped Birkhoff and planted a double on the plane. An NSA official, Ronald Peller (Nelson), gets under Birkhoff’s skin. Meanwhile, the CIA captures Alex and questions her about her involvement with Nikita.
