The Walking Dead season four returned huge. We knew it would, right? But “30 Days Without an Accident” did better than any other episode in series history, pulling in 16.1 million viewers. And in the 18 – 49 demo number (the rating the advertisers look for), consider it the top show in all of TV having grabbed 10.4 million viewers. These are sick numbers.
Speaking of sick, at the end of the season four premiere, Carl’s friend Patrick was ill and then quickly died. That last shot of a dead Patrick opening his eyes is still haunting my nightmares. Tonight’s episode will have to deal with the fallout of this death. And that scares me even more. Who knows how quickly something like this — whatever this virus is — will spread and who will fall victim to it. The episode’s titled “Infected” so that can’t mean anything good.
Synopsis for “Infected”:  As the group faces a brand new enemy, Rick and the others must fight to protect the livelihood they worked so hard to create at the prison.
The Walking Dead continues tonight at 9/8c on AMC. And we’re getting you ready with some photos from “Infected” as well as a sneak peek clip.
