Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Big Jim has gone off the rails and we love it. We’ll love it even more when Barbie exposes him for the lying manipulator he is, but until that happens we’re enjoying the ride.

From CBS:

While the manhunt for Barbie continues, Big Jim gets the residents of Chester’s Mill riled up and the town demands justice for all of Barbie’s supposed crimes.  Meanwhile, Joe and Norrie must find a new hiding place for the mini dome.

TV Goodness participated in a roundtable discussion at this year’s Comic Con with producers Neal Baer, Brian K. Vaughan, and Justin Falvey. When asked about whether or not The Dome would still be in place by the end of the season, the answer was an emphatic yes.

Brian K Vaughan: “It’s the title of the show. Gilligan didn’t get off the island at the end of the first season and similarly our dome will still be there. Stephen King always said when he came up with the idea, ‘I imagine these people were there for years.’ The show doesn’t really get interesting until year four. What happens when people’s clothes have just started falling apart, they’re making everything from scratch?”

Justin Falvey: “We had really high hopes for Revolution. It left this massive gap. The most interesting part of Revolution to me is what’s on set – this detritus lying around you for three or four seasons.”

Brian: “Yeah, that’s right. Revolution sort of skipped over-”

Justin: “It sort of skipped over the fun parts. ”

Neal Baer: “And that’s been the discussion because there’s been some comments about, well we didn’t have everybody go crazy in episode 2 and try to bang down the dome – well, Junior does in episode 3 to no avail – but we really felt that we had to introduce the characters because obviously there’s going to be some water problems this season and some food problems. We’ve only seen [a week] so far. There’s plenty [more] that’s gonna happen.”
