[Warning: Spoilers for tonight’s Suits]
Suits is back with its second episode of this third season. Take a look at the synopsis for “I Want You to Want Me”:
Louis (Rick Hoffman) offers Mike (Patrick J. Adams) a case that could change his future at the firm. Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Jessica (Gina Torres) team up to bring down an old nemesis who complicates their case to keep Ava Hessington (guest star Michelle Fairley) out of jail.
Three things I love about this synopsis:
- Louis and Mike interaction. That is always fun. And I can’t wait to see how this case could potentially change Mike’s future at the firm.
- The synopsis states that “Harvey and Jessica team up.” These are beautiful words. It’s painful for me to watch these two be at odds. One of the things I’ve adored most about Suits is that Jessica and Harvey worked together so well. The understood each other. But they haven’t been close to being on the same page as of late. So for at least one episode, I hope these two can overcome the baggage that’s piled between them so they can dispense of this old nemesis. Speaking of which…
- Gary Cole is set to make a return guest star appearance in this episode. His character definitely qualifies as an old nemesis. Harvey’s former boss exhibits questionable ethics and lacks moral fortitude. Jessica had to protect Harvey from Cameron Dennis during season one so if he’s involved it can’t be good.
