Well, well, well. Is it just me or did that come around faster than you expected?

“The Arrangement” kicks off the third season of Suits tomorrow night in its new home Tuesdays at 10/9c. The gang’s all here, and the gloves (and clothes!) are off as we pick up the same week of the finale–thank God we do not have a time jump. So, what’s on tap for the evening?

This is what USA promises:

The merger complete, Jessica’s (Gina Torres) new partnership with Darby (guest star Conleth Hill) is tested when he assigns Harvey (Gabriel Macht) a high-profile client who faces the loss of her company if Harvey can’t prove her innocence.  Mike (Patrick J. Adams) works to reconcile with Harvey and to manage the fallout from his revelation to Rachel (Meghan Markle). Games of Thrones‘s Michelle Fairley begins a recurring role as an oil company head with ties to Darby.

Without giving too terribly much away, here are a few morsels from the episode:

  • Harvey and Mike are still on the outs but Mike isn’t settling for being the dumpee.
  • Mike and Rachel do talk about the file room, and she issues him another ultimatum, and he delivers.
  • Harvey is still playing Darby and Jessica against each other while Donna tries to be the voice of reason.
  • Harvey actually says something nice and heartfelt to someone to whom he owes a big-ass apology.
  • The use of “sh-t” is alive and well in the dialogue.
  • Louis and Nigel throw down over bran bars and ball point pens (yes, really).
  • Donna is still taking the piss out of Louis whenever possible.
  • Mike makes a new friend at work.
  • Previous guest star (and always awesome) Gary Cole pops up and goes toe to toe with Harvey.

I really liked that episode didn’t feel all “premiere-y” and that we’ve missed no time with all the changes. We’re seeing all our characters deal with the fallout as it’s happening vs. learning in hindsight. Points to the creative team there.

Here are SPOILERY sneak peeks at the episode, and you can see even more clips at the Suits YouTube channel.
