Poor Stiles. Of course something supernatural prevents him from following through on his first (I’m assuming) real opportunity to lose his virginity. Heather isn’t interested in romance or falling in love. And Styles is a teenage boy so he’s just interested. But she’s abducted before Stiles can return with an extra, extra-large condom she sent him in search of. Stiles thinks she bailed, but we know that’s not the case.

I’ve always enjoyed the Romeo and Juliette quality of Scott and Allison’s relationship. Maybe it’s even more tragic because they got to be together and now they have to watch each other try to move on. Not that either one of them has actually managed that yet. I love that they can’t seem to stay away from each other. It makes their relationship so fraught and tragic. And it makes us want to see them get back together. I love it. Of course it’s Allison who saves Scott and Derek from the vault.

Scott is serious about making changes in his life and being more serious about school. He’s trying to keep the promises he’s made to both Allison and his mother, although that’s turning out to be quite difficult so far. Before he and Derek go storming into the bank, he’s trying to weigh the risks against the potential rewards. I like that one of them is trying to anticipate the consequences of their actions. I was a fan before, but now I like Scott even more.

What We Learned:

  • No one likes Peter and no one is afraid to tell him that to his face.
  • Lydia wants one of the twins. She’ll take the straight one and Danny can have the gay one.
  • Dr. Deaton gets Isaac to remember where Gage Golightly‘s Erica and Sinqua Walls‘ Boyd are being held. But he also remembers that Erica is dead.
  • Ms. Morell seems to be working for or with the Alpha pack.
  • Preventing werewolves from turning during the full moon makes them more out of control, more vicious, more blood-thirsty.
  • Derek has a younger sister named Cora. He thought she was dead, but she’s not.

Also, can we talk about that amazing new opening credits? The addition of the wolves is cool. When does Scott develop telekinesis and when do we see it come into play? I love that he’s hovering above the ground in the credits. It’s so cool. I also like the hands coming out of the ground and reaching for something as well as Lydia’s scream. I have a question though: Why isn’t Daniel Sharman‘s Isaac in the opening credits? I thought he was a regular this season. I need to investigate

Teen Wolf airs Mondays at 10/9c on MTV.
