One more huge finale is headed our way. Tonight on NBC, Revolution ends its first season with what promises to be an epic episode.

What I’m looking forward to most? The final Miles vs. Monroe confrontation of the season. I’m sorry but anytime these two go up against each other — it’s going to be a huge moment. At least for me because Miles and Monroe are my absolute FAVORITE Revolution characters. Their backstory is so interesting and we rarely get face-to-face conversations in the present-day. I’m betting that there will be an M&M flashback or two in “The Dark Tower” finale.

Synopsis for “The Dark Tower”: MILES AND MONROE FACE-OFF AND THE CORE GROUP SUFFERS ANOTHER BIG LOSS – Life-threatening dangers abound on all sides as the Rebels infiltrate the Tower. Miles’ (Billy Burke) leadership abilities and character are sorely tested as well as his feelings for Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Nora (Danielle Alonso). Aaron’s (Zak Orth) genius comes in handy while Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) and Randall Flynn (Colm Feore) bring new meaning to the dark side. Also starring Tracy Spiridakos, JD Pardo, David Lyons, Leslie Hope, Kim Raver, Maria Howell.

TV Goodness was part of a press call featuring Billy Burke who plays the fiercely badass Miles Matheson. He’s been a joy to watch this season as he played a character trying to achieve some sort of redemption in a world that doesn’t quite want to let him achieve that.

What he told reporters about the finale

  • “Everything we’ve been fighting for comes into question.”

About Miles and Monroe

  • “It’s pretty safe to say that I don’t think that we’re going to end this season without some sort of final showdown between those two characters. We’ve seen that conflict go on for so long. And the nature of these two guys is that, yes, they’re both fighting different sort of (pathos) within themselves. And each one thinks that they’re doing the thing for the common good and for the overall right. So that’s the struggle that we deal with. The brotherhood between them seems to be so strong that it’s kind of overcome a lot of those moments. But I don’t know how long that will continue.”

About Rachel, Miles and Nora

  • “I think viewers kind of see the overall dynamic no matter how oblique that might seem. But yes, you’ll start to get what’s happening with [that] – at least from where Miles is concerned.”

About whether Rachel and Miles were together before Rachel and Ben

  • “I’m going to be very honest with you here. We still don’t know that.”

The Revolution season one finale airs tonight on NBC at 10/9c.
