You had me at Joss Whedon. And Coulson lives! I mean, I loved every single thing about Marvel’s The Avengers. but I was devastated when Agent Phil Coulson was killed. So it means so much to me that Joss Whedon has resurrected Gregg Clark‘s beloved character on the small screen.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).
Why I’ll Be Watching:
I’m interested in everything Marvel (and DC) related. I’m already so invested in Coulson that I can’t wait to see him assemble (see what I did there?) this team. I’m very interested to see what types of cases they’ll work on and whether or not any big-screen character will make cameos on the show. I’m not holding my breath, but it would be amazing to see Cobie Smulders‘ Agent Maria Hill.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres this fall on ABC.
