Scandal Preview: “Any Questions?” [VIDEO]

There are only two episodes left in this second season of ABC’s Scandal. And I’m already worried about how I’m going to get through the summer without new episodes of this addictive series. Anyone have any ideas? Because it was hard just to get through the show’s somewhat recent three-week break. An intervention may be in order.

Synopsis for “Any Questions?”: The White House is in the middle of its biggest scandal to date and Cyrus is in the eye of the storm. Meanwhile, someone close to Olivia betrays her and the team.

In “A Woman Scorned,” Mellie did the unthinkable. She went on national TV and told Cyrus’ hubby — James aka the new Anderson Cooper — that the President of the United States is having an affair. That he’s been cheating on her even as she stood by his side after he was shot.

The fallout is going to be juicy, right? We know Fitz made his choice. It’s Olivia. It was his turn to fix things and he chose her. But once he and the love of his life find out Mellie didn’t blink, how is he going to react? There’s some major fixing that needs to happen here and I don’t think Olivia’s going to be the one to be able to do it. Right now, the public doesn’t know that she’s the “other woman.” Mellie’s holding on to that piece of information. But for how long?

If that isn’t enough, there’s the business of the Mole. Who is it? And what does Jake have to do with all this? There’s also the mystery man that was a boss at that super secret killing organization Huck used to work for — the one that turned him into the mess he is today. What’s up with him? I really hope we find out answers by the end of season finale (which airs Thursday May 16 @ 10/9c on ABC).

Click on the clip below for more Fitz and Olivia goodness. It seems like the president has decided to take the Mellie matter into his own hands. I kind of shudder to think of what that will entail.

Scandal “Any Questions?” airs tonight at 10/9c on ABC.
