Scandal Preview: “Seven Fifty-Two” [VIDEO] 

[WARNING: SPOILERS AND SPECULATION FOR “SEVEN FIFTY-TWO”]

After yet another painful hiatus, the wait is almost over. Almost.

Normally I would wait until a day or two before the new Scandal airs before posting a preview. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m in dire need of a Scandal fix right the you-know-what now. And boy, the clip below is good and emotional and features our favorite “severely messed up but totally made for each other” couple: Olivia and Fitz.

Synopsis for “Seven Fifty-Two”: Secrets from Huck’s life before Pope and Associates are revealed, Olivia and Fitz engage in an emotionally charged conversation, unaware of the fact that someone could be watching, and Olivia’s team comes together to help one of their own. Meanwhile, Cyrus is becoming increasingly skeptical of Jake, and Mellie makes a decision that could bring down the White House.

Thoughts on the synopsis:

• Learning more about Huck is always welcome. For such a mysterious kind of guy, we seem to be learning a lot about him. But there seems to be so much material there to uncover. Let’s just hope Huck makes it out of this episode without getting beat up or tortured.
• Who could be watching Olivia and Fitz’s “emotionally charged” conversation? Jake? Or one of the Gladiators? I just hope this Olivia/Fitz convo takes up a lot of the episode. I miss those two being in the same vicinity regardless of the circumstances.
• It’s natural that Cyrus becomes skeptical of Jake. Especially since we’re not sure exactly what’s going on with Cyrus these days. Is he the mole? (For more on the history of Scandal‘s mystery mole, abc.com does a good job of recapping it for us.)
• Mellie is so unpredictable. I don’t know if I can even attempt to do justice with my speculation regarding the destructive decision she makes that “could bring down the White House.” But I’ll try. Does she want to out Fitz and Olivia? Does she want to tell the world that her husband asked for a divorce? Does she want to reveal all about Defiance? Or is there something totally new going on here?
• Do the Gladiators come together to help Huck or Olivia? Or is it going to be someone else like Harrison? Because I’ve been waiting for story to happen for Harrison all season long. He’s been such frakkin’ solid support for everyone this season (well, except for what he did to Abby and David Rosen). Maybe he needs the team for a change.
• There are some spoiler-y pics out there that show Huck pre-series once again. And, as you guys know, that’s when he was looking rough. Very rough.
• And what is the meaning of “Seven Fifty-Two?” What happens or happened at 7:52?

I’m probably way off base with all my speculation but I don’t care. I need this little Scandal-ous diversion to help get me through the next few days. Plus, it’ll help to watch the clip below over and over (and over) again even if Fitz and Olivia aren’t what you’d call on the same page right now.
