OK, let’s talk what went down in the last episode of HISTORY’s Vikings. Ragnar battled Earl Haraldson to the death and won. It was easily the most shocking development of  this first season. I’m still in awe of the show going there even though I’m going to miss Gabriel Byrne something fierce. Did you guys see the L.A. Times interview with Byrne that ran the day after the epic events of “Burial of the Dead?” I’m so glad I wasn’t spoiled to this particular death. It made the television viewing experience that much more exciting and suspenseful.
Now, with Haraldson’s demise, it’s time to see what kind of Earl Ragnar’s going to be. He’ll most definitely be put to the test as he and his men leave to raid England once again.
Synopsis for “A King’s Ransom”: Three Viking ships sail upriver towards the very heart of power in eastern England: the Royal Villa of King Aelle. Ragnar Lothbrok has come looking for ransom in exchange for peace. However, King Aelle has a different plan in mind for these northern heathens.
Vikings airs Sundays at 10/9c on HISTORY.
