5 Moments of Goodness from The Big Bang Theory “The Spoiler Alert Segmentation”

This week our Big Bang crew suffered a meltdown and a betrayal.  There was also another jaw dropping moment in what feels like a season full of them.  Last week’s admission that Sheldon might consider a physical relationship with Amy was a shocker, but this…well, spoiler alert below in this week’s five moments of goodness.

Spoiler alert.  A rift develops when Sheldon spoils a plot point of the Harry Potter book Leonard is reading.  Understandably, Leonard is furious.  Sheldon thinks that Leonard is just suffering from an overdose of estrogen via soy milk, “Your morning Cocoa Puffs are turning you into a hysterical woman.”  It was great to see Leonard have a backbone and declare that he’d had enough of roommate agreements and Sheldon’s eccentricities.  The person who came with “spoiler alert” really should have copyrighted it.

The perfect roommate.  Sheldon doesn’t anticipate that Amy Farrah Fowler might see Leonard’s departure as a potential to move into the apartment.  Sheldon’s discomfort at the idea shows that while he’s come a little ways, he’s not anywhere close to being a real boy yet.

Leonard’s hair.  At the beginning of the episode, I couldn’t figure out what was going on with Leonard’s hair.  It looks weirdly long and slicked back.  My dad did this once.  We called it his Chewbacca look.  It’s not a good look.  It was funny that this later came up in the episode when Sheldon ruffled Leonard’s hair and said, “Lovable scamp, with a lot of product.” Lose the hair gel and get a haircut Leonard!

Raj’s Imprisonment.  Raj is lured into the lair of Mrs. Wolowitz in order to help Howard, but ends up getting stuck in the house like Hansel and Gretel.  Raj’s desperate phone plea for help to Howard was great.  For a moment, I couldn’t believe that Howard would abandon Raj – but, then I realized that of course he would.

Is that Mrs. Wolowitz?!  In another season shocker, we finally see the body behind the voice of Howard’s mother when she walks by an open door several times.  I couldn’t believe my eyes!  If they keep this up, we’re going to be out of twists.  Unless, Amy does move in with Sheldon one day….

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
