[Warning: Spoilers for tonight’s Nashville]

On tonight’s Nashville, Rayna and Juliette: The Tour, continues as the rival singers hit Chicago, Ill. We’ve screened the episode and must admit, it’s one of the best episodes of the season so far. It has a little bit of everything. If you’re not hooked after you watch “I’ve Been Down That Road Before,” then we don’t know what to do with you. This isn’t just a must-see hour of TV, it’s a must-tell everyone around you to tune in (especially those with Nielsen boxes).

Synopsis for “I’ve Been Down That Road Before”: Rayna begins to settle into the tour when she discovers that Deacon has joined Juliette’s band on the road, and she can’t help but think that maybe the time has come to make some hard decisions. But will a heart to heart with Deacon help ease the sting of the revelation? Meanwhile Juliette is tired of her bubble gum pop success and is interested in exposing who she really is, though her team is convinced that will damage her commercial success. And Scarlett is counting pennies to keep her head above water — until Gunnar makes her an offer she can’t refuse.

Here are a few more hints on what’s going down in Chi-town (and Music City, too).

  • Now that Deacon has joined Juliette’s band, we’re loving the effect he has on the young singer.
  • We’re also loving the effect Deacon has on Rayna.
  • Make no mistake. The effect the seasoned guitarist has on Rayna is completely different than the effect he has on Juliette. You’ll understand soon.
  • There’s more than one elevator scene. There’s a really nice build-up to what happens in the clip below.
  • For those of you tired of Avery getting away with everything, you might get extra enjoyment out of this episode.
  • Teddy’s story gets real interesting. Finally.
  • Scarlett and Gunnar are just massively adorable. In our book, they’re still in denial about what’s going on between them, but in “I”ve Been Down That Road Before,” the two make a big decision.
  • The music in the episode is stellar. We get songs from Rayna and Juliette as well as Scarlett and Gunnar.

Nashville airs tonight at 10/9c on ABC.
