Reality competition shows are my favorite kind of reality shows. Actually, they’re the only type of reality shows I’ll watch. I like when there are real stakes and I love seeing people kind of “fight for their lives” every week with a new set of challenges and obstacles. I was a bit late to this particular show, but now I’m devoted to it now. I love seeing how the contestants tackle each challenge and what cool new creature they’ll create each week. And season 4 promises a huge treat with the addition of legendary makeup artist (and McKenzie’s dad) Michael Westmore as a mentor. So exciting.
Along with regular judges Ve Neill, Glenn Hetrick and Neville Page we’ll see the following guest judges throughout the season: Bryan Singer, Gale Anne Hurd, John Landau, Michael Nankin and John Rhys-Davies. Am I the only one who learns a lot from their critiques? I love hearing what they have to say about the contestant’s work.
