One of my fervent wishes for The Vampire Diaries is that Julie Plec will find something, anything for any of her Kyle XY posse (Marguerite MacIntyre notwithstanding) to do. While we wait, Matt Dallas pops up tonight on Hallmark Channel in Naughty or Nice.
I’ve called this preview a One Tree Hill edition because the movie stars Peyton Sawyer herself, Hilarie Burton, and Danneel Harris. Picking up their OTH vibe, the real-life pals play work enemies and have a ball one-upping each other. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Burton smile more—it’s infectious to watch her having such a good time.
The plot involves Burton’s character, Krissy Kringle (yes, really), mistakenly (or so she thinks) being sent Santa’s Naughty or Nice book and what she does with all that info. As an added bonus, we also get a mini Family Ties reunion as Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross play Krissy’s folks. Dallas plays Krissy’s longtime boyfriend. Also along for the festivities is Gabriel Tigerman, who eagle-eyed viewers will recognize from his appearances in Supernatural‘s second season.
Naughty or Nice airs tonight on Hallmark Channel at midnight/11c and repeats Thursday at 4 pm/3c and Christmas night at 11:30 pm/10:30 c.
