Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars, Week 6 (Country Week)

In the words of Tom Bergeron: “Week 6 Sucks!” But I will get to that.

Here’s the thing, I’m not a big country music fan, but this show is about dancing so I’ll
get over it. Once again, everyone was superb. In fact, the first Perfect 30s happened, to
not one, but two couples: First, Sabrina and Louis and then Apolo and Karina. You
know that a dance is amazing when Carrie Ann gets teary. In the package before Sabrina
and Louis danced, they discussed how Sabrina had a boyfriend who did drugs and she
tried to help him. As she was describing the situation, you could see and feel the pain.
When they danced you could also see the pain. It was truly one of the most emotional and
beautiful dances I have seen on the show.

Now last week was team dances, so this week all the partners did a country dance
together. I have to say it was so fun. I like it when they work as a team because you see
everyone’s strengths.

SPOILER ALERT: So why does week 6 suck? Because it was the same week that
Sabrina Bryan got voted off in her regular season. How odd is it after a perfect score,
she gets the boot again on week 6? I want to say this shows how important voting is.
She was very gracious and went out on top. I got the chance to see her dance live in the
Las Vegas show and she is amazing!

Next week they are doing fusion dances. Just like two weeks ago, they got to pick these
dances for each other. This is another first for the show and I’m really looking forward to
it. Here is what each couple will have to perform:

Melissa & Tony: Tango & Cha Cha

Gilles & Peta: Argentine Tango & Samba

Kirstie & Maks: Quickstep & Samba

Shawn & Derek (or Mark): Tango & Paso Doble (Derek is injured so Mark will probably
step in

Kelly & Val: Cha Cha & Foxtrot

Apolo & Karina: Cha Cha & Paso Doble

Emmitt & Cheryl: Rumba & Samba

Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC at 8/7c.
