[Warning: Spoilers for Week 4 including who was eliminated]

Anytime you have Paula Abdul as a judge, you know it will be a good time (at least a little wackier).  Yes, the former American Idol/X Factor star appeared as a special guest judge. And she is here on a week where there were dances being done that have never been done on Dancing with the Stars. Clearly making some of the professional dancers nervous, this was a week of challenge for all. Just a reminder of which dances the couples did this week and my observations about them:

Gilles & Peta – Bollywood
Really amazing since Peta nor Gilles had ever done anything like it. They got the first tens of the season!!!

Sabrina & Louis – Disco
I thought this one was really amazing as well; they got the whole audience to dance with them. I love crowd participation!

Shawn & Derek – Mambo
Another amazing performance — they tied with Gilles and Peta for the top spot.

Emmitt & Cheryl – Bolero
How many times can I say a dance is amazing? I guess at least four.

Apolo & Karina – Hip Hop
Karina’s least favorite dance but she is a professional. She did take a really hard fall during the performance and was so upset after. Bravo to both of them that they kept going and finished the dance.

Melissa & Tony – Jitterbug
I’ve never seen Tony so happy! (He’s never won and has done all seasons) They did give him Kate Gosselin, so he deserves this!

Kelly & Val – Contemporary
People keep talking about their chemistry and there is a good reason for that. (And side note:  her character on General Hospital got her baby back this week! But I digress….)

Bristol & Mark – Rock & Roll
I agreed with the judges, her best dance.

Kirstie & Maks – Charleston
The thing I love about these two is Kirstie gives it right back to Maks. It’s a match made in dancing heaven.

SPOILER ALERT! Well, I hate to say it, but I think the right couple went home this week. Bristol Palin and her partner, Mark Ballas got the axe this time. In a normal season, Bristol would have given a near perfect dance this week. As Carrie Ann said she is definitely the most improved and should be happy with the job she did.

Now next week the couples have been split up into teams and still have their own dance to learn.  What do you think?  And do you have a favorite?  Or are you like me and have a few?

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.
