Playing Favorites: TV Goodness Celebrates Supernatural and 150 Episodes

Supernatural celebrates its 150th episode tonight — can you guys believe it? I always say this, but I remember a time when we were lucky to get our 23rd episode. Now we’re starting season 8 and Dean’s back from Purgatory while Sam has been living la vida normal for the past year. We’ll have to wait and see about what’s happening with Cas but it can’t be anything good, right? In the season 6 episode called “Family Matters,” the Alpha Vamp [the awesome Rick Worthy] explained what the Supernatural twist on Purgatory is: “It is filled with the souls of every hungry thing like me that ever walked this earth.” Scary. Can’t wait to see what new showrunner, Jeremy Carver, has in store for what hopefully will be an epic season. In the meantime, let’s get list-y and look back on some of the 149 amazing episodes that precede the season 8 premiere “We Need to Talk about Kevin.” And, remember, these are just my personal choices. This list is so amazing and so comprehensive, I love it. Too bad I have such a bad memory for titles…so I wish I could see a log line for each episode listed. Thank you, Tina, for your wonderful insights into this my most favorite show!

I simply cannot erase \”The French Mistake\” from my DVR. It is my favorite and it is so funny on multiple levels. Cas the phony \”actor\” type was a crack-up. The boys actually fighting and the stunt people watching in shock was great. Seeing Sam\’s house with the narcissistic art of himself on the wall…and married to Ruby. Priceless.

Thanks for reading! So glad you liked the lists. I just recently re-watched The French Mistake myself. It’s still as hilarious as the first time I watched it.
