Reality Fix: Dancing with the Stars and Motown Week

We are about half way through the season of Dancing with the Stars. What I love about this year is that there isn’t really a front runner and everyone has been pretty good. Even Martina Navratilova, who was booted off the first week, wasn’t that bad. It makes it fair which is a nice switch. But let’s be honest, there is one thing that makes this season full of TV goodness, and his name is William Levy!

Whoever is this man’s agent is simply brilliant. I had never heard of this guy but apparently he is the Brad Pitt of South America. Okay, no offense Mr. Pitt, but William is so much better than that. First, what I love about this man is he seems to be a decent guy. His English isn’t that good, so when he is getting his feedback from the judges, I kind of get the feeling he really doesn’t understand half the things they are saying. (Or maybe he just can’t hear them because all of the screaming that happens, every time he is out on the dance floor.)

This week was Motown week, and how amazing was it that Gladys Knight was one of the contestants? Now, I don’t know if there is a conspiracy but how does one vote off Gladys Knight, a Motown legend, on Motown Week? Do you remember when Florence Henderson was on the show and during TV theme week danced to the Brady Bunch Theme? And then she, Mrs. Carol Brady, got the boot? Anyone think that is wrong?  Maybe it’s just me.

In honor of Gladys Knight, I officially have “Midnight Train to Georgia,” stuck in my head. And as you read this, it’s probably happening to you right now…..Woot! Woo!

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
