HBO Sunday Preview: Game of Thrones and Girls [VIDEO] 

Sundays are always a special day of TV, especially on HBO. In the world of Game of Thrones, congratulations are in order. The epic fantasy series has already been renewed for a third season. Plus, a new comedy debuts tonight after Eastbound & Down. The show is called Girls and it’s already earning all kinds of great buzz. Lucky for you guys, we have previews for both GoT and Girls.


“What is Dead May Never Die” Synopsis: Tyrion tries to secure alliances with the guarantee of a wedding; Catelyn heads to the Stormlands in hopes of making an ally, but the king and his family have their own plans; Luwin attempts to uncover the secrets hidden in Bran’s dreams. Game of Thrones airs tonight at 9/8c on HBO.

Judd Apatow is one of the executive producers of Girls. Of course, you know Apatow from his superstar resume that includes: The Larry Sanders Show, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Knocked Up, Anchorman and Bridesmaids. As a writer, producer or director, he’s one of the premiere talents working in film and television right now.

Girls Synopsis: Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna are trying to figure life out. Theyʼve been living in New York for a couple of years, but theyʼre still not sure what they want – from boys, from each other, from themselves. And things arenʼt getting any clearer. Created by and starring Lena Dunham (“Tiny Furniture”), the new HBO series GIRLS takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s. Dunham, Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner executive produce the show.

Girls premieres tonight at 10:30/9:30c on HBO.
