So, we’re ten episodes into the season and I can’t remember the last time we saw U.S. Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks much less the last time she was mentioned. Was I momentarily distracted when we were told she was on assignment or transferred out of this field office?
Thank you google. You are my friend. I did a little research and discovered that we last saw Rachel back in “Thick As Mud,” which was episode five. Rachel and Raylan were on the hunt for Dewey when he thought he’d had his kidney’s harvested. Episode Five. That’s a long time. Now, I love this show and have little to no complaint – usually. I just want to know why she’s gone or where she’s gone too. This seriously needs to be explained and soon. I liked where things were going with her and I want to see more of what Erica Tazel can do.
Random tidbit:
I had no idea Quarles was as damaged as that. In “A Guy Walks Into a Bar, ” we learned that his father used to pimp him out to pay for his heroin habit when he was just fourteen. We only learn this because Quarles is at gunpoint, and the guy talking insists Quarles killed his friend. And later when we see that Quarles has that young man handcuffed on his knees in his bathroom, we know he’s gonna do very bad things to him. I think I have serious residual anger from Marshall Allman‘s time as Tommy Mickens on True Blood because I have to admit I wasn’t feeling that sympathetic.
