March TV is normally known for repeats but, thankfully, some of my favorite shows came through with some great guest stars on a fresh batch of new episodes.

Last Monday on the new episode of Alcatraz, actor Mahershala Ali appeared as one of the returning 1963 prisoners. Ali is best known for his role on the USA Network show The 4400, but got his start on Crossing Jordan and the short-lived series Threat Matrix. More recently, he has guest starred in episodes of Lie to Me, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Alphas. He also appeared in the made-for-TV movie The Wronged Man.
The next night over on Body of Proof, actor Steven Culp and actress Rebecca Field appeared as the father of a college girl killed in an apparent car accident and the college rival and actually the killer of the victim.

Steven Culp is probably best known for his role in Desperate Housewives; but he has also appeared in JAG, The West Wing and ER. He has also appeared in episodes of Burn Notice, Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami and Cold Case (among others).

Whereas, Rebecca got her big break on TV in the series October Road and then guest starred in episodes of Dollhouse, Drop Dead Diva, Lie to Me, Mike & Molly, Criminal Minds and Breakout Kings. She also had a recurring role in the medical drama Hawthorne.

As we move over to Thursday night on The Vampire Diaries, Actress Cassidy Freeman appeared as a vampire “friend†of Damon from 1912. Cassidy is best known for her role in the latter seasons of Smallville. Prior to that she guest starred in episodes of Cold Case and CSI. More recently she appeared in episodes of CSI: NY and the short-lived The Playboy Club.

That same night on The Secret Circle, actor Tim Phillips appeared as an Australian supposedly visiting Chance Harbor and making friends with Diana. Tim appeared in the Australian shows Neighbours and Bed of Roses. American viewers will remember him for his recent guest role on Once Upon a Time as the Prince who marries Cinderella.

On Friday night, actress Mary Page Keller guest starred in Supernatural as a greedy real estate agent who turned out to be one of the Leviathan for which Sam and Dean have been hunting.

Mary Page has a long TV resume that includes a start on daytime in the soap Another World. She has also made appearances in episodes of Providence, The Practice, JAG, NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck, Privileged, 24, Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles and CSI.
Also on Friday over on the season premiere of Fairly Legal actors Mark Moses appeared as an attorney defending Michael Hogan’s character, a CEO of a chemical company.

Most TV viewers will recognize Mark from his role on Desperate Housewives, but he has also appeared in Mad Men as well as guest roles in Castle, CSI: Miami, Ghost Whisperer, Boston Legal and NYPD Blue.

Meanwhile, Michael is best known for his role in the reboot of Battlestar Galactica. Since then, he has appeared in episodes of Warehouse 13, Dollhouse, Numb3rs, Smallville, Heartland, Supernatural and Psych. He has also appeared in the new Canadian series Arctic Air and had roles in box office film such as Red Riding Hood, The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Cutting Edge.
Needless to say, that’s quite an eclectic group of guest stars for the past week on television. Which actors and/or actresses did you see on your favorite shows last week? Please share.

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
