Despite it being the doldrums of March – or the TV repeat syndrome – there was still a handful of interesting guest stars on my favorite shows this past week. Let’s take a look at who I saw:

Over on last Sunday’s new episode of Once Upon a Time, actress Amy Acker appeared as the Pink Fairy in the fairytale world and Sister Astrid in Storybrooke. As most TV viewers know, Amy got her first big TV break on Angel, followed that up with a recurring role on Alias, and was one of the leads in the short-lived show Drive. Later on she had a recurring role in October Road, Dollhouse, and another short-lived series Happy Town. More recently she has appeared in episodes of Human Target, No Ordinary Family and Grimm. She’s also guested on Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, and How I Met Your Mother.

That same night on the season premiere of Breakout Kings, actors Jason Behr and Ian Bohen appeared as a dangerous escaped convict and a new neighbor of the Marshal’s office respectively. Jason, of course, is best known for his role in the cult favorite Roswell, but prior to that he appeared in episodes of Dawson’s Creek, the short-lived series Push, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Ian is probably best known for his role in the MTV series Teen Wolf and has made appearances in episodes of Drop Dead Diva, Body of Proof, The Mentalist, Prison Break, and Mad Men.

On Monday night’s double-header of Alcatraz, actor Frank Whaley appeared as one of the ‘63 prison guards back from the past in “The Ames Brothers,” and Theo Rossi and Wendy Crewson were a 63 inmate and his victim from back in the day in “Sonny Burnett.” Frank has appeared in shows such as Medium, Burn Notice, Ugly Betty, CSI, House, Boston Legal, NCIS, and Dead Zone.

Theo is probably best known for his arc on Sons of Anarchy, but has also appeared on Hawaii Five-0, Lie to Me, CSI:Miami, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Grey’s Anatomy.
Wendy is a well-known Canadian actress with a number of feature films to her credit. Her TV appearances include Due South, CSI, Rookie Blue, The Bridge, Flashpoint, and 24.

On the new episode of Switched at Birth on Tuesday, actress Shelley Long made a brief appearance as a book editor considering Kathryn’s book proposal. Shelley, of course, is best known for her role on the long-running comedy Cheers. More recently she has appeared in episodes of Modern Family, Boston Legal, and Joan of Arcadia as well as the made-for-TV movies A Holiday Engagement and Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door.

In Psych‘s homage to The Shining on Wendnesday actor Louis Gossett, Jr. and actress Sara Rue appear as the superintendent at the condo complex where Lassie (Timothy Omundson) moved into and one of his new neighbors respectively. Of course, Louis is a film legend with many features to his credit. He’s also done a few other guest star appearances on shows such as ER, Family Guy, and Stargate SG-1. Sara is best known for her roles in Popular and Less Than Perfect. She appeared in the short-lived series Eastwick and recently had a recurring role in Rules of Engagement. She’s also been in the made-for-TV movies My Future Boyfriend, Nightmare at the End of the Hall, and This Time Around.
Lastly, over on the Friday night episode of Grimm, actor Daniel Baldwin appeared as a fire inspector. Actress Danielle Panabaker appeared as the daughter of a demon-human hybrid being “hunted†by Nick, who happened to be a fire-breathing exotic dancer. Daniel is part of the Baldwin family of actors and is probably best known for his role in the TV series Homicide: Life on the Street. He also appeared in the recent made-for-TV movie Christmas with a Capital C.
Meanwhile, Danielle appeared in the TV series Shark as well as episodes of Summerland (alongside her sister Kay), The Division, The Guardian, CSI, and The Bernie Mac Show, as well as the made-for-TV movies Read It and Weep, Mom at Sixteen, and Sex & the Single Mom.
As always, it will be interesting to see who shows up next on my favorite shows. Which actors and/or actresses did you see this past week in your favorite shows?

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
