Warning: Spoilers Discussed

The new season of Syfy’s Being Human is about to begin and we can’t be more excited. We’ve seen the first two episodes and we’ve got to tell you that we like where things are going. It’s seriously dark and twisted but that’s how we like our supernatural dramas. At the end of last season, the vampire Aidan had killed Bishop; Werewolf Josh had unknowingly scratched up Nora putting her future as a straight up human in doubt; and Sally the ghost had missed the door to the other side. Here are some things you need to know about this US version of the Brit series before it premieres.

Josh Has Intimacy Issues

Josh has got a pregnant girlfriend to worry about and even though he’s expecting a baby with Nora, he’s still hesitant to really let her in. We can understand his desire to shield Nora from the more unpleasant aspects of his affliction, but he wants to spend the rest of his life with this woman right? Yes, things got hot and heavy (once). Because of that certain aspects of their relationship have had to be fast-tracked. But no matter how much you want to share your life with someone, there are always those things you’re reluctant to. Josh thinks Nora is just trying to know him more completely, but we know she’s asking all those werewolf questions for another reason.

Aidan Doesn’t Know How to Be a Leader

Bishop’s dead and all the baby vamps are looking to Aidan for direction. Because Bishop broke the rules and made more vampires than was allowed, Aidan’s got his hands full trying to keep things under control. Aidan doesn’t have the kind of clout Bishop had as a cop. He can’t use his job to help cover up crimes or keep certain people out of jail. He does have unlimited access to blood, but there’s only so much of that that can go missing before it becomes a problem. But the biggest challenge seems to be that Aidan isn’t comfortable as a leader. Does he even have what it takes to make it at the top? Will he even have a choice?

Sally Is Searching for a Purpose

Sally’s whole storyline with her horrid fiancée has been resolved. And she’s missed her chance to cross over to the other side. So things are in an interesting – but uncertain – place for her. She’s searching for a purpose. She’s searching for something or someone to help connect her to this world. Being a ghost is a lonely existence especially since Aidan and Josh have their own drama to deal with on a weekly basis. Is there something she can do to help them out? Sally’s trying to find herself and find a way to make being a ghost work for her as long as she’s around. Who knows if or when that door will pop up again. She has no choice but to exist in the present but it’s not going to be easy. Her journey may include a few nightmares.

Season 2 of Syfy’s Being Human premieres tomorrow night at 9/8c.
