Mid-Season TV Crush: The Secret Circle’s Grey Damon

As I expected, I ended up DVRing the fall season of The Secret Circle and then marathoning it one weekend, so I was all caught up when the series resumed last week. I was happily surprised to find the lovely Grey Damon in a sizeable arc with the wicked Faye. He was one of the reasons I hated to see the plug pulled so quickly on ABC Family’s The Nine Lives of Chloe King last summer.

We don’t know a whole lot about his character, Lee LaBeque, yet (in terms of the show, I haven’t read the books to know whether he’s a character there)–and Damon himself has been downright cagey in interviews so far, but we can guess he’s bad(ish) news, first, because he’s putting up with–and putting the moves on–Faye and second, he’s looped on witchraft even though he’s running a suburban garage voodoo/wiccan supply shop.

He looks to be front and center helping stir the pot in tonight’s new episode, “Fire/Ice.” I’m still not in love with this show (and I’m not on board with decision to dump Nick so early) but I’m perfectly fine with them making room for one more pretty, pretty boy. I hope they keep him around a bit this spring.

The Secret Circle airs Thursdays at 9/8c pm on the CW.
