It Was So Good To See You: Guide to Guest Stars (Wk of 11/28)

Now that Thanksgiving weekend is behind us and fall finales are airing, it’s interesting to see who pops up on my favorite shows. Among the familiar faces to appear the week of November 28 included:

Michael Beach

Actor Michael Beach was on The Closer, appearing as a high school football coach, who was suspected of murdering the new principal. Michael is best known for his work on Third Watch, but he has also appeared in ER, The Game, Stargate Atlantis and Sons of Anarchy. His film work includes Soul Food.

Roselyn Sanchez

Actress Roselyn Sanchez appeared on Rizzoli & Isles as a prosecutor who was actually behind the death of the lead witness in Jane’s current case. TV viewers will recognize Roselyn from her work on Without a Trace, but she has also appeared in the films Chasing Papi, Rush Hour 2 and The Game Plan. She has guest starred on episodes of Royal Pains and the short-lived shows Kojak and L.A. Dragnet.

Over on Covert Affairs, actor Tony Curran appeared as an MI6 agent who recruited Annie to help him with a case. Tony appeared in the film Underworld: Evolution and was Vincent van Gogh in an episode of Doctor Who. He has a long resume of film roles, including The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Gladiator and Beowulf & Grendel; and TV roles like the mini-series The Pillars of the Earth, the web series Gemini Division and guest roles on Hawaii Five-0, The Mentalist, 24, Medium and Numb3rs.

That same night over on Body of Proof, actress Dana Davis and actor Gregory Harrison appeared. Dana was a medical student while Gregory was her college professor.

Dana is best known for her work on Heroes and her current role on Franklin & Bash. Her other TV roles include Veronica Mars, The O.C., Boston Public, Gilmore Girls, Pushing Daisies and the short-lived series The Nine.

Meanwhile, Gregory is best known for his work on the 80’s series Trapper John, M.D. and more recently on One Tree Hill and the Au Pair franchise of ABC Family movies.

Amber BensonÂ

Over on the fall finale of Ringer, actress Amber Benson had a very miniscule role as a former stripped who was a friend of Bridget. Amber, of course, is best known for her work alongside Ringer star Sarah Michelle Geller on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Willow’s girlfriend, Tara; but she has appeared in the made-for-TV movies Holiday Wishes and 7 Things To Do Before I’m 30 as well as the independent film The Killing Jar. She has also recently appeared in episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Supernatural.

Lastly, over on the fall finale of Supernatural, actress Chelah Horsdal appeared as Bobby’s mother in his flashback dreams to his childhood. Chelah has a long resume of TV roles such as The 4400, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Battlestar Galactica, The L Word and Eureka and made-for-TV movies Come Dance at My Wedding, Lying to be Perfect, The Client List and Three Weeks, Three Wishes. She also appeared in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

We have a very limited time before the networks take their break for the holidays so it will be fun to see who shows up next. Did you see any familiar faces on your favorite shows this past week?
