Moment of Goodness: Kelly Gets Closure, Dirty Soap “An Ex Returns”

I love soaps.  I always have and always will.  So to see soaps slowly being taken away, it was with happiness that E! gave me Dirty Soap. Thank you to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who are the producers of this new guilty pleasure, which takes you into the lives of some of our favorite soap stars.

Since it’s my first blog about this show, here are the people that are a part of it:  In order of the picture above:  Jenna Gering, wife of Galen Gering (Days of Our Lives), Kirsten Storms (General Hospital), Kelly Monaco (General Hospital), Brandon Beemer (Bold and the Beautiful), Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Days of Our Lives), John-Paul  Lavoisier (One Life to Live) and Farah Fath (One Life to Live). So instead of going over everything about the show (you can read more about the cast of E!’s Dirty Soap here), I wanted to share with you my Moment of Goodness from this week’s episode.

It’s already been established that Kelly Monaco, who a lot of people know from being the first winner of Dancing with the Stars, recently broke up with her boyfriend of 18 years. When she went back to her family home for a visit, of course she ran into said ex at a local watering hole she knows so well. I think what I liked about this run in was that it shared something really personal with the audience. She got closure and did it with class. It made me have a whole new respect for Miss Monaco. I can’t wait for future episodes when we get to see her date!

Oh one other thing I wanted to mention. Nadia Bjorlin got to sing the National Anthem at the San Diego Padres game. She had sung it once before and had messed up the words. (Others have done this, I’m talking to you Christina A.!) I always knew she had a great voice, since she sang on Days. But it’s nice we got to see her do it with her boyfriend, Brandon, and her mother by her side.

So if you haven’t given it a chance yet make sure to check it out  Sundays on E! at 10:30/9:30c.
