I don’t know if I’m ready for Vicki to stop making trouble yet. Yes, what she did to Matt in “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is unforgivable, especially considering he’s her brother. But we’ve got to remember something about Vicki: she’s selfish. And like Anna, Vicki is alone “over there.” By tricking Matt into performing that ritual she was well on her way to becoming an permanent inhabitant on this side, even though most people couldn’t see her. In exchange though, the witch that helped Vicki – the first witch – made her promise to kill Elena. Not so fast. Not only does her attempt on Elena fail, but Bonnie helps banish Vicki and restore the natural order of things (if there is even such a thing in Mystic Falls). But it can’t be that easy, right? Bonnie has some serious skills when it comes to witchcraft but she can’t be a real match against the first witch, even though she’s dead right? So my question really is: When are we going to see Vicki again? I don’t believe she’s really gone.
We don’t know that much about the first witch yet (want to take bets on when we might meet her? I wonder who they’ll cast.) but we know a few things about Vicki. Just because she’s been banished for now, doesn’t mean she’s not going to find another way to get through. I think Vicki will go back to the first witch and make her case. She tried to kill Elena so maybe that’ll get her some good will. I can’t say I’ve ever been a big Vicki fan (although I do like Kayla Ewell) but I like that she stirs the pot and I like that there are people in Mystic Falls who care about her. If she really is gone I’ll be a bit disappointed.
But whether or not Vicki’s permanently gone, I’m also wondering how Jeremy can touch Anna and feel it. Matt had to perform a ritual for that to happen with Vicki but somehow it’s just a fact with Jeremy and Anna? I know there’s an explanation so I’m looking forward to that explanation and soon. Part of me thinks Anna made some deal of her own. Why should we believe everything that comes out of her mouth? We know she’s lonely. I like Anna a lot but we don’t know what happened to her since she died. We don’t know how long she’s been trying to break though. We don’t know much of anything. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
