As we are now nearly a month into the new TV season, more and more familiar faces are showing up on some of my favorite shows.

Let’s start with the two-hour season finale of Warehouse 13 that aired on October 3 that featured actor Erick Avari as HG’s trainer when she was brought into Warehouse 12 in London in 1889.

Erick is probably best known for his work in the films The Mummy and Daredevil, but he has appeared in countless TV shows. Among those shows are Stargate SG-1, Alias, JAG, Everwood, Tru Calling, Heroes, Leverage, Castle and Lie to Me (among many others).

That same night it was a double header on Castle with actor Jordan Belfi (who was highlighted in last week’s edition of It Was So Good To See You) and actress Judith Hoag appearing.

Jordan played a porn magnate who had been founding a man’s dream of cryogenics while Judith played the widow of the victim (and turned out to be his killer) of the episode.

Judith has a long resume of TV and film roles including the films I Am Number Four and Armageddon and the made-for-TV movies Halloweentown. Her TV work includes guest roles on shows like In Plain Sight, Big Love, Private Practice, Sons of Anarchy, Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, JAG, Crossing Jordan and ER as well as the late daytime soap, Loving.

Over on Tuesday, actor Cliff Curtis appeared on Body of Proof as an FBI agent working on the case of kidnapped little boy. Cliff is best known for his role on the short-lived series Trauma, but has also appeared in the films Push, Live Free or Die Hard, Training Day and Three Kings, Collateral Damage and Whale Rider.
Wednesday night found actors Ashton Holmes and Alex Carter appeared on the new series Revenge.

Ashton appeared as a college buddy of Daniel and Alex appeared as the ex-husband of Victoria’s former best friend. Ashton is best known for his role in the first season of Nikita and he has appeared in the mini-series The Pacific, episodes of Boston Legal, Numb3rs, House and CSI. He was also in the box office film A History of Violence.

Alex has appeared in episodes of Haven, CSI, 24, Castle, Burn Notice, Leverage, Wildfire, and the short-lived shows Point Pleasant and Veritas: The Quest.

Then on Thursday, actor Ruben Santiago-Hudson appeared on Person of Interest as a former Gulf War vet now a bar owner, who was actually behind a team of former soldiers-turned bank robbers. Ruben is best known for his work as Captain Roy Montgomery on Castle, but he has also appeared on Law & Order, Early Edition and NYPD Blue.

Lastly, on Friday, actress Rekha Sharma appeared on Nikita, playing a Canadian TV reporter who was actually a Division agent. Rekha is best known for playing one of the 5 final cylons on the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. More recently she appeared in the remake of V and appeared in episodes of Smallville, Supernatural, Dark Angel and John Doe.

That same night over on Supernatural, sci-fi favorite Jewel Staite appeared as a former love of Sam’s from when he was a young teenager. Jewel, of course, starred in the legendary Joss Whedon series Firefly and its box office sequel Serenity. She has also appeared in the short-lived shows Higher Ground and Wonderfalls. More recently, she starred in Stargate Atlantis.
What familiar faces did you see in your favorite shows this past week? Please share.

What They Said: Top 4 Quotable Moments from Black Sails “XXIII”

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
