I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter about pairing Owen and Alex together. Even though Devon Sawa has said there are no plans for Olex – as far as he knows – it seems like some people are really excited for this pairing. So I’m here to launch a preemptive strike. I don’t like this potential relationship and here’s why: if Owen and Alex get together there’s no hope for Owen and Nikita. Hear me out before you start cursing my name. I believe Michael and Nikita are soulmates but it’s not interesting if they’re always happy and coupled up. I see a possible (but extremely short term) future for Owen and Nikita. I don’t want them together forever, but I’m in favor of a fling.
Right now it seems like Michael and Nikita are in their honeymoon/newlywed stage and I like it. But I know at some point something will happen to cause a rift. Maybe Division is the the cause of their break, maybe not. Whatever the circumstances, if Michael and Nikita break up, I can see Nikita turning to someone for comfort. And I vote for that person to be Owen. Devon Sawa has said he has no interest in coming between Mikita but he’s also said Owen and Nikita get each other. I’m not actively rooting for Owen and Nikita but I wouldn’t be disappointed or upset if they happened – temporarily. I do want Nikita and Michael to have their happily ever after. It just doesn’t need to be right now.
If fans are clamoring for Alex to be with anyone, perhaps they should look closer to home. Well, first of all, she’s not even ready to be with someone. But, we think when she eventually gets there, a perfect candidate is Dillon Casey‘s Sean Pierce. They’ve only been working together a short time and I can already see the chemistry. Yes, he’s a huge pain in her ass as a new Division operative but I can see that relationship evolving.
