So we’re two episodes into the new season of The Vampire Diaries. That alone is excellent news. There’s a lot of great stuff going on with the vampires and the werewolves. But what about Bonnie? We only got to see her – on the screen of Jeremy’s phone – for maybe a minute or two during the premiere. I know she said she was off somewhere visiting her boring relatives but I don’t understand the story motivation for keeping her away. Oh, wait. Yes I do. If she was in town she’d realize Jeremy was seeing ghosts and would do something about it. Ok, fine. I get it. But if the storyline forces her to be out of town, can’t we see what she’s up to? I want to know more about her family. Why did she decide to visit them? Where are they? Do they know what she is? Are they witches too? Why are they letting her stay in Mystic Falls when it would make more sense for her to live with them? So for me keeping Bonnie away actually creates more problems than it solves. I hope they address this in next week’s episode because I’m only going to stay patient for so long. And they’re already pushing it.
