Fall TV Crush: Person Of Interest’s Jim Caviezel

Warning: Slight spoilers discussed.

Here’s what I know about Person of Interest: Michael Emerson‘s Finch is a genius billionaire. He has created some sort of computer program that can predict crime – it just won’t tell him who is a victim and who is a criminal. Jim Caviezel‘s John Reese is a deeply damaged, ex-CIA agent who seems to be wasting his life away on the streets. Taraji P. Henson‘s NYPD Det. Carter is interested in finding out just who John Reese is after he shows up on her radar. I also know this show is being produced by Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams. I’m intrigued by the Big Brother (from Orwell’s 1984; this has nothing to do with that reality TV show) aspect here. And that’s all I really need to know…for now.

Actor: Jim Caviezel, best known for feature films and 2009’s TV mini-series The Prisoner.

Person of Interest Character: Presumed dead CIA hitman John Reese.
Person of Interest Assessment: Billionaire software programmer Finch finds Reese living on the street and recruits him. Together they track people who will either become the perpetrators or victims of crimes. Finch was disabled during the September 11th terrorist attacks so he is not a man of action. As a former hitman, Reese has seen a done a lot, much of which he might not be so proud of. Together they’re going to try to stop crimes before they’re committed.

The Crush Factor: I’ve been a fan since The Thin Red Line and I’m so glad he’s coming to television full time. Jim Caviezel is such a refreshing mix of tall, dark, and handsome. Where can I get me a tall drink of that?
