Warning:Â Spoilers discussed.
The nighttime soap is finally back. Whether or not you remember Knots Landing, or Dallas, or Dynasty (or even the original Melrose Place) Revenge makes it feel like a worthy sucessor has finally been found. I love the setting, the characters, the story. And the fact that Emily VanCamp‘s Emily Thorne is bringing a very Count of Monte Cristo vibe to the nighttime soap is so interesting. The angle? It’s all about revenge, which you may have guessed from the title. The Graysons caused Emily Thorne to loose everything and now they have to pay. We’ve also got jealousy, a lot of money, secret (and not to secret) love affairs and alliances, and a lot of emotion simmering just beneath the surface. I am so happy to be along for this ride, but before I gush all over the pilot lets talk about something very important: the hot guys on this show. The gorgeous guys of Revenge.
Actor: Nick Wechsler, best known for Roswell.
Revenge Character: Jack Porter, the childhood friend of Emily Thorne.
Revenge Assessment:Â He plays a large role in Emily’s past, present, and future. He’s one of those guys who lives in a resort town all year and definitely has opinions (and maybe prejudices) about the rich people who descend on his town for “the season.” Even with a chip on his shoulder, Jack is looking to do the right thing and help his friends and family. He’s so refreshing in a town where everyone seems to want to stab you in the back.
The Crush Factor : Kinda of intense and serious in person, but in a good way. If this is the boy-next-door we’re ready, willing, and able to move to the Hamptons. There is something about this wholesome do-gooder that just makes us melt.
Actor: Brit Josh Bowman, most recently of Make It Or Break It.
Revenge Character: Golden boy Daniel Grayson and Emily Thorne’s eventual fiance.
Revenge Assessment: As a member of the powerful family that destoryed Emily’s life, it’s hard to know whether or not Emily is faking her feelings for him. It can’t all be about revenge, right? Maybe she really loves him. While he used to be all you’d expect of a rich, spoiled brat he’s mending his ways. And don’t take what you see about him in the pilot at full face value. We got some tidbits at the Fall TV Preview (which we’ll tell you about later) that made us think twice about what we thought we knew.                                                                                  The Crush Factor: So endearing in person and he’s got such a sexy accent. We’re melting.
Actor: Gabriel Mann, perhaps best know his role on Mad Men as well as various feature film roles.
Revenge Character: Tech billionaire Nolan Ross
Revenge Assessment: Just wait until you see his awesome pink pants. We hope you like them as much as we do. As someone who knows exactly who Emily Thorne is (or isn’t), he’s a potential liability for her. As a relatively recent billionaire, he’s not exactly accepted by the old-moneyed elite but he’s not above spending some serious dough to try and fit in. It remains to be seen whether he’s a friend or foe to Emily.
The Crush Factor: None of the press photos do him any justice because he is so crushable in person. And if you dirty him up a bit (just wait; you’ll see), he becomes even more attractive.
Actor: Henry Czerny, most recently from Falling Skies but also known for The Tudors.
Revenge Character: Cheating husband Conrad Grayson
Revenge Assessment: Through thick and thin Conrad Grayson (as well as Madeleine Stowe‘s Victoria Grayson) is all about family. Nothing is thicker than water and they’ll do anything to protect their family and their dynasty. I don’t quite have a handle on Conrad Grayson yet but I will say his wife wears the pants in this family…for now.
The Crush Factor: Talk about a silver fox. I don’t care how old he is, Henry Czerny is smoking hot and, in my opinion (and I know Tina agrees with me), he is the hottest guy on this show.
Revenge premieres tonight at 10/9 c.

Two nights of Arrow + The Flash = what more could we ask for?! I don’t know what it is about blending these shows, but I can’t help but feel that every time they come together, they somehow become greater than the sum of their parts. And that’s saying a lot…

3 Moments of Goodness from Brooklyn Nine-Nine “Johnny and Dora”
The most satisfying part of this season’s finale has to the Jake and Amy kiss. Well, they kiss three times but the last one is the best one — and it means something. The Charles and Rosa dynamic was also great. I love how she’s convinced he doesn’t know anything…
