I’m not one of those people who has seen every cycle of America’s Next Top Model. I’m not looking down my nose at anybody, but I didn’t start watching the show until an ex-roommate turned me onto it. So there are definitely girls on the show who are new to me and I like that. There are also girls on the show who are my favorites. I’m excited about this cycle and I can’t wait to see how the girls look next week after their makeovers. But first, some general impressions.
Laura. She seems stronger and much more confident. She no longer looks like she’s fresh off the farm and I loved the dress her grandmother made for her. I think she’s a real contender.
Kayla. I was a huge fan of the fiery red hair she sported during her cycle. I thought her photo this week was strong but I think her hair is too severe.
Camille. I am so distracted by her forehead. It’s all I can look at despite the amazing outfit she’s wearing here.
Bianca. I didn’t even recognize her, that’s how much of a transformation she’s undergone. I already feel like she’s reverting back to some bad habits and I hope she can put  stop to it before it sends her home.
Angelea. Just like last time Angelea is all talk until something happens to test her confidence. I hope she doesn’t fall apart like she did at the end of her cycle. It was not pretty.
Alexandria. She is beyond polarizing and, quite frankly, I don’t even like her look. I wouldn’t be that upset to see her leave early.
Shannon. I get that she doesn’t want to be nude, but she doesn’t want to be photographed in underwear either? I don’t get, especially since that bikini bottom was smaller than the lacy underwear.
I think we’re in for an interesting ride and I’m really excited by the caliber of celebrity judges. And they’ve really upped the stakes with the challenges as well. It’s just a matter of time before we see who can make this second chance into a dream come true. Until then, I’ll enjoy the photo sessions as well as the critiques and I’ll try not to roll my eyes when the girls get into fights. I have a fast-forward button and I know how to use it.
