Occasionally, TV networks do surprise viewers. Fox announced that it has plucked the hilarious comedy Breaking In from the cancellation cemetery. The show, starring Christian Slater, Bret Harrison and Michael Rosenbaum, has received a 13-episode order that should air mid-season. This also means star Odette Annable will pull double duty on both Breaking In and House, instantly making her one of Fox’s golden girls.
I can’t say how much this reverse decision pleases me. I was crushed after Fox cancelled the comedy back in May. Breaking In is a funny show about quirky characters that work together at a high tech security firm. It features clever writing, a crazy good comeback from Slater and scene-stealing goodness from Rosenbaum. The fact this show is getting another chance will hopefully allow more people to discover it. Get with the program and catch up on the seven-episode Season 1 at Amazon.
