Guest Star Goodness: Suits “Dirty Little Secrets”

The Thursday episode of the new USA Network series Suits included a lot of familiar faces within an episode that centered on a drug maker who was being sued for manufacturing a faulty product with a secondary story centered on a housing scam led by an uncouth landlord.

First up, is actor Russell Hornsby, who appeared as the drug maker who was being sued who just also happened to be Jessica’s (Gina Torres) ex-husband. Russell is probably best known for his role in the ABC Family series Lincoln Heights, but he also appeared on the short-lived series Gideon’s Crossing and Haunted. He has also been seen in episodes of The Good Wife, In Treatment, Playmakers, Law & Order and Grey’s Anatomy. His movie roles include Big Fat Liar, Meet the Parents and Something New. He will also been seen as a regular in the new fall series Grimm.

Then there was actress Sharon Leal, who played the drug maker’s girlfriend and former lab consultant. Sharon most recently appeared in the short-lived series Hellcats but she is probably best known for her role in the daytime soap Guiding Light as well as Boston Public and Private Practice.  Her movie roles include Dreamgirls, Why Did I Get Married? and its sequel Why Did I Get Married Too? and Soul Men.

Next, there was actor Anthony Starke, who appeared as the attorney for the patients suing the drug maker. Anthony was a series regular on The Magnificent Seven and has appeared in episodes of Suddenly Susan, Prison Break and Make It or Break It. He has also made guest appearances in Seinfeld, CSI: Miami, The Defenders, Lie to Me, House, ER, Moonlight, NCIS, Burn Notice, Cold Case and Nip/Tuck. He also appeared in the box office film License to Kill and the made-for-TV movie Inferno.

Christina Chang

Lastly, there was actress Christina Chang, who appeared as the lawyer in the housing scam case. Christina most recently appeared in the short-lived series No Ordinary Family, but she has also appeared in CSI: Miami, Private Practice, 24, Close to Home and the short-lived series L.A. Dragnet. She also had guest roles in episodes of Without a Trace, The West Wing, Boston Legal, Numb3rs and Brothers & Sisters. Her movie roles also include Live Free Die Hard, 28 Days and Random Hearts.

Considering how intriguing this new legal drama is with the viewing audience, you never who just might show up next.
