Summer TV Crush: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Franklin & Bash

I don’t know about you guys but I always feel better when Mark-Paul Gosselaar‘s on my small screen in some capacity, even it is Saved by the Bell repeats. Actually, especially if it’s Saved by the Bell repeats. However, he’s finally back in primetime and on TNT once again. And, once again, he’s playing a lawyer. Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer (who’s beyond cute) are Peter Bash and Jared Franklin, two in-your-face legal eagles who like to do things their way. These ambulance-chasing bad boys are recruited to work for Malcolm MacDowell‘s Stanton Infeld at one of the top law firms in Los Angeles. With that scenario, there promises to be a lot of clash and brash on Franklin & Bash. Thankfully, there’s also going to be plenty of hotness too. In addition to Gosselaar and Meyer, the cast includes the boyishly handsome Reed Diamond and the always stunning Garcelle Beauvais (love her!).

However, this TV Crush is all about the actor formerly known as Zack Morris. Let me put it this way. I’m not a fan of legal shows. I’m just not. I haven’t gotten into one since L.A. Law, maybe? I’m much more of a fan of the Order side of Law & Order, you get what I’m saying? But for Mark-Paul Gosselaar, I’ll break my no legal show rule. For him, I’ll do it. It’s a no-brainer, really. He’s talented and beautiful and ever since SBTB, he’s been one of my all-time TV crushes. Yes, I’m saying that I was totally Team Zack and had absolutely no time for Team Slater. He’s one of those actors I’ll tune into whatever he’s doing — at least once. Probably even more than that. I’m not hearing great things about his new show but I’ll judge for myself because: a) I love the cast; b) I’m curious about this premise; and c) Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Not necessarily in that order.

Franklin & Bash airs Wednesdays at 9/8C on TNT.
