Guest Star Goodness: Fairly Legal “Believers”

Let’s hear it for the casting department at Fairly Legal, as they have done it again.  Last night’s episode was jam packed with lots of familiar faces and quite a few interesting storylines for our primary characters as well.

First, let’s start with the case Sarah Shahi‘s Kate handles in the opening scene.  She’s at a big corporation’s office to mediate a job termination that turns very complicated.  TV views will recognzie the boss John Marsden, played by Currie Graham. He’s beren on TV shows Raising the Bar, Men In Trees, and Boston Legal as well as Desperate Housewives.

Devon Gummersall

Marcus, the young inventor of a revolutionary new device, who is being fired and threatens to jump to his death, is played by Devon Gummersall. You’ll remember him from the cult favorite series My So Called Life. He’s also appeared in Relativity, Felicity, State of Mind, Roswell and more recently has been seen in episodes of Drop Dead Diva and The Gates.

David Richmond-Peck

Contained within that storyline was the cop who arrived on the scene to talk Marcus off the ledge and eventually arrest him. The actor is David Richmond-Peck, who appeared in the first season of the reimagined series V, and has also appeared in episodes of Eureka, Smallville, Sanctuary, Stargate Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica.

Meanwhile, back at Reed & Reed, Virginia Williams‘ Lauren is dealing with a divorce of a very important client of the firm.  Unfortunately, the soon-to-be ex-husband won’t sign the divorce decree.

Teryl Rothery

The future ex-wife is played by Teryl Rothery, who is known to all sci-fi fans as Dr. Fraiser on the long-running series Stargate SG-1. She’s also appeared on Kyle XY, Caprica, Hellcats, and the Syfy mini-series Alice.  The ex-husband, played by Dan Payne, has appeared in Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Tower Prep.  He also starred alongside Daphne Zuniga in the Hallmark Channel movie A Family Thanksgiving.

Devon Weigel

Not to be outdone, Kate’s trusty assistant Baron Vaughn‘s Leo had a fun little flirtation with the “sandwich girl,” who volunteered to model for him. The “sandwich girl” was played by Devon Weigel, who was a regular cast member of the Canadian series Falcon Beach and appeared in episodes of Smallville, Supernatural, and Psych as well as the made for TV movie The Christmas Hope.

Once again, kudos to the folks at Fairly Legal for always providing great guest stars.  I look forward to seeing who will show up next.

Currie Graham is charming, I would like to see him more often on TV, even in leading roles
