Guest Star Goodness

It Was So Good To See You (Week of February 14th)

Connor Trinneer

This week’s TV fare provided some very interesting guest stars. The first familiar face was Connor Trinneer, who appeared on Monday’s Pretty Little Liars as the father of Paige (Lindsey Shaw), one of the girl’s on the school’s swim team. On Tuesday, he guest-starred on NCIS: Los Angeles as NCIS Agent Boyle. Connor is best known for his role on Star Trek: Enterprise as well as appearing on Stargate Atlantis.

Then over on this week’s Chuck, Lou Diamond Phillips – who was most recently seen in the Syfy series Stargate Universe – appeared as the nemesis of the C.A.T. Squad that consisted of Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and three other female agents.

Once again, The Cape had two guest stars that caught my attention. Illeana Douglas was the nurse who was taking care of the city’s lost son, found by (Summer Glau), who turned out to be a psychotic loon who took her captive. Illeana is best known for her movie roles in Message in a Bottle, Ghost World, Goodfellas and To Die For. The other was Natalie Morales, who appeared as a co-worker of Dana Faraday (Jennifer Ferrin). Natalie starred in the short-lived series The Middleman and was seen in numerous Season 1 episodes of the USA Network series White Collar.

Over on Royal Pains, Julianne Nicholson appeared as a former bank investor/trader who gave up the 24-hour hectic lifestyle for a much more relaxed life in the Hamptons flying planes. Julianne has appeared in TV shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Ally McBeal as well as appearing in the box office movies Kinsey and Little Black Book and the made-for-TV miniseries Storm of the Century.

Jason Brooks

Lastly, while his appearance on screen was brief, Jason Brooks appeared in the latest episode of No Ordinary Family, as the husband of the woman who turned out to be the killer of Natalie’s (the high school girl who Jimmy has a crush on) mother. Jason appeared in latter episodes of The Pretender and was also a regular on Baywatch. He was also a regular on Days of Our Lives for 6 years.

With February sweeps still ongoing, who knows who might show up on our favorite shows next week.
