It Was So Good To See You (Week of January 31st)

While watching this week’s new episode of Pretty Little Liars, two familiar faces were part of the guest cast. The first being actress Charlotte Rae, playing the old woman who owned the bead shop. Rae is best known for her role on the popular 80’s comedy The Facts of Life.

The other was actress Paula Newsome, who appeared as the swim team coach. Newsome has appeared several times as the wife of Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) on NCIS and had a role in the short-lived series Women’s Murder Club.

That same night over on the new NBC drama Harry’s Law, actor Steve Harris played the client of Harry (Kathy Bates) who had been wrongfully imprisoned for 25 years for a crime he did not commit. Harris is best known for his role on the legal drama The Practice and has had a recurring role in the latter part of Friday Night Lights.

On Tuesday night, a new episode of NCIS aired on CBS, featuring guest star Christina Cox, who played the battered wife of a Marine was found beaten to death in his backyard. Cox appeared in the short-lived ABC series Defying Gravity and the fan-favorite Lifetime series Blood Ties.

Then on Thursday night, actress Arija Bareikis appeared on Royal Pains, as the mother of the teenage singer who was diagnosed by Dr. Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) with anthrax poisoning. Bareikis is best known for her role in the police drama Southland.

Lastly, there was the new episode of Nikita on Thursday night that featured Roswell alum Brendan Fehr. He played the operative in charge of the mission to kill the President of Georgia.

Fehr has also appeared as the brother of Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) on Bones.

I am anxious to see what next week will hold for my favorite shows.
