Guest Star Goodness

It Was So Good To See You (Week of January 17th)

While watching one of my favorite shows this past week, there was a very familiar face as one of the guest stars. In the mid-season premiere of USA Network’s Royal Pains, actor Tom Cavanagh made an appearance as a golf pro competing in a charity golf tournament playing on the same team with Jill Casey (Jill Flint).

As one-time avid viewers of NBC will remember, Tom appeared in the fan favorite series Ed about the bowling alley lawyer, but he also appeared in the short-lived shows Love Monkey and Trust Me as well as recurring roles in Eli Stone, Scrubs and Providence. He was also recently in the box office movie Yogi Bear and the made-for-TV movies Snow and its sequel Snow 2: Brain Freeze as well as The Capture of the Green River Killer.

Then, earlier in the week, during the debut of the new NBC series Harry’s Law, the judge overseeing the case of the college student with a major drug problem was portrayed by actor John Beasley. He is best known for his role in the popular WB series Everwood, but he has also appeared in the box office remake Walking Tall that starred Dwayne Johnson and the made-for-TV movie The Lost Room.

It will be very interesting to see who pops up next week.
