[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

After three seasons, Bitten closes it down Monday night with a brutal, bloody, and finally, poignant hour that boils down to family, love and hope, and is an emotionally satisfying end to the journey we started with Elena and the Pack.

Jeremy returns to Stonehaven to find an unwelcome welcoming party, while a still-healing Elena goes into hiding with Clay, Sasha, and Alexei. Elena’s still sorting through her vision from the end of last season, until she realizes that one way or another it has to manifest in reality for her to be free of it. She shares her concerns separately with Paige and Sasha and then sets about a series of misdirections and redirections to try to even the playing field and ensure the safety of her family. Some pieces of that plan go better than others.

I will always have great affection for this cast, and I look forward to seeing where they go next. Greg Bryk is slated for an upcoming episode of Wynonna Earp and Steve Lund guests on Schitt’s Creek later this season in the U.S.–his episode as already aired in Canada. Laura Vandervoort just wrapped the first season of Supergirl, which is awaiting a renewal at CBS).

One last time, Bitten airs Monday at 11/10c on Syfy. Here’s a sneak peek of “Truth, Changes, Everything,” and a wrap-up vignette for watching AFTER the finale.
