[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Hallmark Channel rolls out its 12th and final film of the 2014 Countdown to Christmas Sunday night at 8/7c with the premiere of The Christmas Parade, starring AnnaLynne McCord, Jefferson Brown (Dear Viola), and HGTV’s Drew Scott. It’s directed by Jonathan Wright, who did the very charming A Very Merry Mix-Up last year.

Here’s what to expect: A popular network morning host finds herself humiliated on the air by her fiancé and disappears to a small town. While there, she helps a budding artist save a community art center for the town’s kids, by helping them with their float for the annual Christmas Parade. While doing so, she must find a way to heal her own broken heart, find new love, and revive her own broken Christmas spirit.
It’s a nice fish out of water story that’s a bit reminiscent of Honeymoon For One, which ran on Hallmark Channel a couple of years ago, about another professional successful woman who hits a major speed bump in her personal life and has to stop and re-evaluate what’s important. It’s a nice capper to two months of original holiday movies. Thanks so much for reading our coverage! Hallmark Channel will resume new movies in 2015.

The Christmas Parade premieres Sunday night at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel. Here’s a sneak peek:
Author: Heather M
Senior Writer/Columnist: Heather began writing about TV way back when Jensen Ackles was Alec on Dark Angel (so, "dibs.") EDITOR NOTE: No dibs!. She never got on the reality bandwagon. Instead, her TV viewing must be scripted. She's intensely loyal to actors, writers, and directors and loves comedy, drama, suspense, and sci-fi equally. If it was filmed in Vancouver (or Canada, really), she's going to be all over it. Don't look for snark. If she's made the time to watch it, she likes it (or loves it), because life's too short to watch sh-tty TV. But she will call BS when it's right there for the taking. By day, she writes marketing communications for the IT sector. She's a lifelong Texan (minus the pre-K years), so you'll have to accept the liberal use of "y'all." Holiday Greetings,
May I ask where was this movie filmed at? (The Christmas Parade) I’m interested in the city.
Many thanks.
Hi Susan,
I don’t recall seeing a city mentioned in the credits but I believe it had an Ontario Film logo at the end, so I’d suggest contacting them to see if they’ll tell you. http://www.omdc.on.ca/Contact_Us.htm
