[Warning: Spoilers ahead.]

Erica Durance, who’s busy with season three of Saving Hope for our neighbors to the north (P.S. NBC is no good very bad for not picking it up), headlines Wedding Planner Mystery for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Sunday night, and it’s safe to say it’s a good old-fashioned “accidental” mystery with a dash of romance for good measure.

Durance plays Carnegie Kincaid, a wedding planner who’s thrown into amateur detective mode when a bridesmaid in one of her weddings is killed in a suspicious car accident, and she ends up on a detective’s list of suspects. Things get complicated when she’s pursued romantically by a debonair attorney and possibly romantically by a meddling reporter.

The film co-stars Andrew W. Walker (who we interviewed here), as well as Garage Sale Mystery‘s Rick Ravanello, Chelan Simmons (Kyle XY), Brandon Beemer (The Bold and the Beautiful), Gabrielle Rose (last weekend’s Heavenly Match), and Karen Holness (Fringe). Ron Oliver, who directed last month’s Perfect on Paper and last weekend’s Recipe for Love, directed. Darcy Meyers, who was a producer on The 4400, makes her writing debut for Hallmark with an adaptation of Deborah’s Donnelly’s novel, Veiled Threats, which is the first in a six-novel series. The film definitely leaves the door open for others to follow, and I hope they do.

Wedding Planner Mystery airs Sunday at 9/8c and 11/10c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Here’s a sneak peek.
