I guess it was only a matter of time before Laskey’s association with HR came to an end. When you get caught up in HR business, there’s only one way you’re going to end that affiliation: death. Over the past few episodes, Carter had started to turn Laskey from an unwilling asset into something of an ally. Yes, she was holding something huge over his head to assure his cooperation – at first. In this episode, Laskey finally realized that HR was never about loyalty; it’s was about murder and greed. Unfortunately, he doesn’t realize it soon enough and Terney takes him out, right in front of Carter. Carter did, however, gain a very important piece of information she’s been angling for since Beecher’s death. She now knows the head of HR is Quinn. And she also realizes she’s in more danger than ever.

Aaron Staton‘s Hayden Price is a con man who gets mixed up with HR. With a price on his head, Price pulls one last job hoping to leave New York with his girlfriend and make a new life for himself. You probably recognize Staton from Mad Men. He’s also guested on The Good Wife.

Jennifer Ferrin‘s Natalie Boal goes from Hayden’s mark to the love of his life, or so he thinks. He was her whale and now’s she’s four million dollars richer. I kind of loved that she conned the con man. Ferrin was so good on Hell on Wheels this season and you may also recognize her from her arc on The Following or her guest appearances on Falling Skies, Deception or Elementary.

Carsten Norgaard‘s Sven Vanger is an antiques dealer approached by HR after he had a little Visa trouble. He was essential in helping HR launder their money, until they realized his therapist was conning him and skimming their money. Norgaard appeared in Sleepy Hollow this season and has recently guested on NCIS: LA and Common Law as well.

Can we talk about the promo for the next three episodes? I will be glued to my TV to see what happens to Kevin Chapman‘s Det. Lionel Fusco. I’m scared.

Person of Interest airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
