Summer TV Crush: Adam Levine, The Voice

I’ve always had a nice, little crush on Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. I remember seeing the band way back in the day shortly before they blew up in a huge way when they performed at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. Right there on that stage was the first time I had ever heard their stuff and I was instantly smitten with their music and their lead singer.

But how great is it that we’re all getting to know Levine in a completely different way? Thanks to NBC’s smash hit competitive reality series The Voice, we get to know him as a judge as well as a coach/mentor and he’s really good at it. He’s great support for his team; doesn’t hesitate to complement the other singers on the show in a big, big way; but he’s also wonderfully sarcastic especially in his exchanges with Christina Aguilera.

Let’s get shallow now. In this week’s performance episode (the Tuesday edition), Levine got to be all sorts of cool — and hot. He was cool when he donned a suit for his song with his band that included a duet with fellow coach, Aguilera. The rest of the time he was supremely hot when he was sitting in that big chair in a tight t-shirt that showed off the tats on his arms. He often lets loose with a sexy smirk that’s more adorable than dangerous. Yes, my nice, little crush has grown exponentially. So, it doesn’t matter which singer I want to take the title of The Voice, consider me Team Adam at all times.

The Voice performance shows air on NBC Tuesdays at 9/8C while the results shows now air on Wednesdays at 8/7C.
