Moment of Goodness: Hannah and Brennan Bond on Bones

After struggling with whether or not to tell Hannah that Bones has feelings for him (and even going so far as to talk to Sweets about it), Booth decides to spill. At first Hannah is embarrassed and unsure of how to deal with the situation. She cancels on Bones three times in one day but, of course, Bones is clueless. Angela tells Bones Hannah is avoiding her and Bones soon finds out why. Hannah knows Bones has feelings for Booth. The moment of goodness comes when Hannah and Brennan must unite against a common enemy: a jerk at the bar. Then they get back to bonding.

It’s nice to see some old-fashioned female bonding – and over drinks, no less. I know a lot of people don’t love Hannah but I think she’s interesting. It’s mostly because I like that she’s keeping Booth and Brennan apart. I know they’ll end up together eventually but I’m not opposed to it being later. I like that Booth is trying (yes, I said trying) to move on. He thinks he’s done it but I think he’s wrong. And in “The Body in the Bag” Brennan tells Hannah she’s going to try to move on. I don’t believe it for a second. I don’t hope these two friends come to blows over a man, but that would be a fight I’d pay to see. In the meantime, I’m happy to see where things go. I do like that Bones and Hannah are friends. I hope that friendship continues to deepen because, let’s be honest, Bones needs some more friends. And when Bones or Booth or both decide they need to be together, Hannah still being in the picture makes things quite interesting.
